The Kohler Automatic Transfer Switch provides homeowners with worry-free control of your stand-by generators. If utility power fails, the transfer switch will automatically start the generator, transferring the electrical load and restoring power to your home.  The transfer switch will automatically revert back to utility power when your power is restored.

The Manual Transfer Switch provides manual switching only. Upon normal source failure, the generator set must be started locally (at the generator set), and the switch must be activated manually (at the switch) to change to standby power.

The Manual Transfer Switch incorporates the use of circuit breakers for the switching process. Should an overload or short circuit occur, the circuit breaker/transfer switch will trip to protect the transfer switch.

The switch contains four positions for load circuit breaker mounting so all emergency circuits are conveniently located in one box.
